If you’ve ever taken a drive over Engineers Pass in Colorado, you might have an idea how the road of my life has been. If you’ve ever done it in a two wheel drive 4 cylinder pick up and had to reverse back down from ¾ of the way up while the rain was washing large chunks off the side of the road, the clear as mud vision will be a little more translucent. Needless to say, it’s been an exhilarating, bumpy ride! This in fact was my first memory of an attempt at four wheeling with my parents. I was roughly 4. My parents had a knack for settling in the most aesthetically pleasing locations they could ponder…all of which were in Colorado. This undoubtedly helped to shape my view of the world. Blessed with their creativity, at 9 years old, I strived to find my creative outlet, and decided to start painting. But I’ve never been one to reinvent the wheel, so instead of oils, I chose light as my medium. The ability to manipulate and capture the light proved to be my only solace. And now, as I suffer through my quarter life crisis at a quarter of a century old, the need to leave my legacy behind is stronger than ever. Hence, the images you find before you. I have studied at the Art Institute of Colorado under some of the greatest and most influential artists and photographers I believe to exist on this fine planet. And certainly nestled in one of the greatest possible locations and cities for pursuing my dreams, Denver. But the quarter life has driven me to the ravishing green desert of Tempe Arizona, where I strive to continue capturing the beauty only mother nature could conjure and hopefully, give the world a small taste of the world through my eyes. |
